Riefenstahl

Leni Riefenstahl was a cinematic genius and brilliant documentary film
maker. Unfortunately, she used her talents as a propagandist for Adolf
Hitler and the Nazi
Party. She seems to have been indifferent to
or willfully ignorant of Nazi ideology but deeply fascinated by the
master-race aesthetic. After the Second World War she was briefly
jailed and internationally ostracized, but she was
so gosh-darn talented that the film world couldn't hold its grudge
forever.
